  1. On the sides of our pond (on the material) we have these little red worms that we used to call thread worms. they look like and earth worm only smaller. They come up at times and we see them. Don’t think the goldfish eat them but don’t know what they are or if they are
    harmful. does anyone else have this?

    • Hi Kay – These sounds like red worms that do appear in water gardens, usually in the filter media, and they are harmless. Here is a link to a past blog about them.
